Default Battery switch

We just got a 2012 fun finder cruiser trailer and can't seem to figure out the battery switch. It isn't clear which way is off and which way is on. I know it sounds simple and we feel pretty dumb but has anyone found this to be a problem?

Turn on a light and flip the battery switch, that should tell you.

On my fun finder, the batter switch is a silver knob that pushes in or pulls out.
In is off or disconnected from 12 volt battery power.
Out is on or connected to 12 volt battery power.

I have mine pulled out all the time so the brakes will work should the camper ever become disconnected from the tow vehicle, the emergency lanyard of pulled out of the breakaway switch and the trailer brakes will activate.

Personally - I don't understand a reason to have the 12 volt power switched to being with.

I agree that it was stupid of Crusier to connect the brake -away switch to the master switch. One of the first things I did when I purchased my FF was to direct wire the brake-away switch from the battery, bypassing the master switch. Apparently new FF are now like that.
