Have you installed Adblock? It's a free Chrome extension, and it really works for all sorts of ads. They probably have a similar product for the other major browsers, but I am not sure.

OK folks - thanks for your comments. Ads are served up by google and we don;t control the content. They are displayed based on a variety of metrics including your general location, your browsing habits and even keywords on the page you are viewing.
I also dislike political ads although currently I seem be seeing ads for lawn furniture and wool sweaters.
Even if you see an political ad please remember that political topics are not allowed on this forum - thanks for understanding.
