David, I don't have that model, but I am on my second Fun Finder. I think that Fun Finders are of decent quality -- not as top-notch as an Airstream, but a lot cheaper. Yes, as with all manufacturers, there have been quality control problems.
For whatever it is worth, both of my Fun Finders have been largely trouble-free.
If you are looking at a new trailer, I recommend the extended warranty. (Lots of folks say that is a waste of money -- I think of it as an investment in peace of mind.) . And make sure that your local dealer has a good reputation when it comes to service -- Yelp is very helpful.
And once you buy, be sure to ask lots of questions, since this is your first trailer. We were all newbies once upon a time!
One more thought -- make sure that you have a sufficient tow vehicle, with a good margin of safety. If your truck is rated at 5000 lb., and the trailer is 4800 lb., that is not enough, in my opinion.
Good luck, and let us know how it goes!
