Default Broken bedroom Window in 2015 funfinder

Our slide bedroom window on the funfinder 2105 shattered while it was being slid open. Any ideas on how to get a replacement window?

Do you need a new window (including the frame), or just a new piece of glass? If the latter, it is not hard to remove the slider and take it to a glass shop. If it is the non-sliding pane, that's a pain to remove. Let us know which one it is.

It is the slider part of the window.

I don't know if the following statement is true, but this is what someone said:

"You can remove the top and bottom filler strips the glass slides in. Just start working the strip out at one end, once you get it raised up you can pull the strip out by hand. Once the strip is out there is enough clearance to get the window out of the frame."

But I would research this before doing so. Removing the slider would be a lot easier than removing the whole window and then re-installing it. I have done that big job recently. It can be done by two non-technical folks (me and my wife), but it takes some care and a lot of youtube video watching.

Mitch would know ! We'll see if she will reply. One of her windows broke as she was passing thru my fair city a couple years ago, and I did a temp patch job with clear heavy painters plastic and gorilla tape, so she could finish her journey.

Yup, darn thing just exploded clear out of the blue. I was not trying to open it. Must have been a billion pieces.

Anyway, I had the entire window replaced with what seemed like a better quality than the original. The cost, I think, was somewhere around $150. Took quite a while for the dealer to get the window to the shop.

As far as I can recall, replacing the entire window was my only option. It was a 2015 189FDS.

Inside, outside, and in the window track. Down the sink. On the floor. It really loudly exploded. What a mess. I couldn't thank you enough for your help and shop vac!

Michelle, do you recall whether this was the sliding portion or the stationary part?

It was always a little tight to open, and even the tech at the dealer couldn't get the screen to slide so I could clean the other part of the window. It just must have been jacked in there a little askew. That explosion was something I'll never forget. My friend (George hadn't arrived yet) was out at the picnic table and she just jumped!!

Our little window doesn't slide easily either. I was going to find some graphite and see if I could make it slide easier. Maybe I'll just leave it alone now. Sorry this happened to both of you.

We had no idea how much glass was in that little slider. Contacted fun finder and they are trying to say the size window we have was not put in that camper having an awful time trying to get this resolved along with other issues that keep popping up.

And that is exactly why both dealer in my local area quit carrying Cruiser RV products - slow to respond and didn't pay on their warranty work.

To keep my windows sliding easily, I clean the tracks out regularly with a damp paper towel, followed by a very light rub of CRC power lube on a clean paper towel. Don't forget the top part of the track as well. And a drop of that lube on the latch/catch itself.
