CruiserRV not returning my email requests
My local dealer is not very knowledgeable about the construction of the Fun Finder. I am interested in the floor plan 189FDS, But I can't get anyone to answer questions on construction.
The website says the sidewalks are aluminum framed/lamination, but is does not specify the front/back, roof or floor? Is there any wood framing I need to worry about?
Also, for 2013, on the 189's, they eliminated the front molded fiberglass cap. Is this a cost saving issue or did they have leak issues with it? I'm assuming its a cost savings issue, because the longer fun finders still have the molded cap.
The website says the floor is toung-n-grove plywood, but what grade? Marine grade?
Anyone out there have a 189fds that can give a review?

Phone 'em!
Try the phone! I have spoken with their techs a couple of times in the past 8 years -- very helpful.

I have a 2012 189fds, I don' think there is any wood in the wall or roof structures, the flooring does not appear to be marine grade, if it is very low grade. I am using s stud finder to find the aluminum frames that are part of the laminated wall, they seem to be mostly flat and a few inches wide, since it is part of the laminated structure it is really all you need. I have been up on the roof and pulled the a/c, roof is very strong, foam core with a fairly heavy laminate. I have mounted my solar panel on the rood using expansion nuts and it is rock solid. I would ask you dealer to get the information your seeking, not sure you'll get any engineering drawings, be surprised of you did.

You could do a search on youtube where there are videos of fun finders being built in the factory.

They have answered my email but as usual no help. Pass the buck mentality with this company no accountability at all.

Old videos
Thanks for posting those video links, but I've seen them and they are several years old.
My concern is; if they are cheapening the trailer by eliminating the molded front cap, where else are they cutting cuts and quality? I really like the floor plan, but I can't afford a lemon.

I am unable to answer your specific question about the front cap or construction aspects.
The only thing I can tell you is I'm very pleased with my Fun Finder and have had zero major issues other than some minor 'tweeking'

It's a TT, not the Taj Mahal. No brand will be perfect, and no brand has flawlwess construction or customer service.

Eagle, thanks for posting those links. They answered some of my questions about framing, except for what, if any, framing is in the interior walls. Does anyone know?
I called Cruiser yesterday but the one guy taking those calls was busy and he has not called back.
