Default Does furnace work on electricity on 2014 fun finder travel trailer

I am new to owning a camper. I was wondering if anyone knows if you can run the furnace electrically or does it need to run off propane?

You need both electricity and Propane in order to run the furnace. Electricity is supplied by either the 12 volt battery or the converter when hooked to the shore line.

As Twinster2 said you need electricity to ignite the pilot flame, control the flow of propane and control the thermostat. But the heat is generated by burning propane.

Also, the 12 volt system also runs the blower fan in the furnace.
