Default Dog can't wait to go camping!

My Keeshound Dutch is asking why we are not camping.

Cute dog. We chose to be pet free after our last pet croaked. So far it has been nice.

Do you take your model plane camping with you?

When I go to flying events, I usually jam the trailer and TV full of planes. If it is just straight camping, I will just take my smallish electric J-3 Cub (59 inch wing span) with floats to fly off the water. When the water is calm I have flown in harbors of Lake Superior and Lake Michigan, and inland lakes where we are camping.

Having flown since the mid 50's, I'm now down to just two planes. I have a 2 meter electric sailplane, and a Clancy Lazy Bee with two wing options. I have never taken them camping but have been thinking about it. The problem having a safe way to carry them without breakage... they are both pretty fragile as you know. Perhaps stuff them in the car top carrier and pack only the glider.... hmmm.
