Default Finally, saw another Fun Finder

Just returned from the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally and for the first time, I saw another XT276. It was parked in a mall parking lot at the time.

It is the first and only Fun Finder I've seen since buying my last spring.

I know what you mean....we bought a Shadow Cruiser last August and hadn't seen another one until just the weekend before last. We traveled from Pa to Natural Bridge Va for a long weekend and when we pulled into our site there was another Shadow Cruiser across the road from us! Not the same model as ours but nice to see another one.

So funny last summer when we bought ours we never saw another Shadow Cruiser but since Spring there are now 2 others parked in our small RV storage lot.

We had our xt275 or a little over a year. We bought it in the spring of 2010. Cruiser RV was just starting to make a name for themselves. We live in FL and I had to travel to VA to get ours. Today there is only 1 or 2 cruise dealers in FL. I know one dealer had them for a year then dropped the line. I don't think enough dealers want to carry cruiser for some reason thus the lack of them on the road. I know there are two other manufactures that offer the same identical floor plans like the 275 and 276. One brand is MXT which is I think a Forrest river. I think the big boys like keystone, jayco and Forrest river still have the market cornered

You are correct.

Default We saw other Fun Finders

We just returned from a 1500 mile camping tour in ND. We took the trip in part to look at the oil boom development and the International Peace Gardens. We saw 4 or 5 other Fun Finders during our trip. Also, the Peace Gardens were great and the oil development is really something to see.

I know what you mean.
I live in Alberta Canada. I see a lot of Funfinders but dont see a lot of ShadowCruisers.
I had to laugh the other week though. I stopped in at the dealer to get some additional gear and noticed a 2013 version of my model.
So went over to have a look as i liked the new paint on the nose.
The new owner was there taking delivery so we got the chance to have a chat. Turns out he bought the unit at that dealer based on comments i had make on this website!
Small world AND one more Shadow cruiser in the hood!

Been thinking about checking that out too. What areas did you visit? Was it difficult to find an RV space? I've heard everything for lodging is full and some folks just park out in pastures with their Rv's.

Eagle,

Concerning our ND trip, we started in the NE corner of the state and worked our way West. We stayed at Lake Metigoshe State Park, Louis and Clark State Park, North Unit of Theodore Roosevelt National Park, and General Sibley City Park in Bismarck. We did not have any trouble finding camping spots, but part our trip was during the week instead of weekends. All 4 sites were excellent to camp in. Reservations can be made at all 4 of these campsites and we did have reservations on 2 of them.

Thanks, that sounds like a wonderful pass around ND.

I've was near Lake Metigoshe State Park years and years ago when conducting some business at the Turtle Mountain Indian Reservation. Also know some folks that have been to the Teddy Roosevelt National Park before.

It's on my bucket list of places to visit.

Thanks.

Default Finally saw another FF

I do not see many Fun Finders when I go camping also. I had a 214WSD for a couple of years and now have the 266KIRB. I get lots of compliments on mine at every campground and kind of like there not being many to look at. Makes a person feel unique

Default Seeing other Fun Finders

We just returned from a 3 day camping trip to Grahm's Island State Park near Devils Lake, ND. The campground was not very full, but there were 2 other Fun Finders there besides us. As an extra bonus, there were 4 fiberglass "egg" type campers there including a 1972 Boler just like we had. Also, we liked this campground a lot as it has big trees; large grassy private spaces; nice bathrooms; and is very well maintained.

I've seen a few Fun Finders this month. Labor Day weekend there was a Toy Hauler, not sure if it was a 275 or 276, at Gifford Pinchot State Park in PA. This past weekend we were at Big Meadows camp ground in Shenandoah National Park and there was another 240 there and a T160.

Default Other CruiserRV models on the road

Hey Eagle-
We just got back from a 5000 mile trip from SoCal to Canada and back. We saw 25-30 CruiserRV products both in our campgrounds as well as passing on the road. White FunFinderXs of all lengths and years were the most common. In Butte Montana, we were assigned a space in a KOA next to an older ViewFinder and a 2013 FunFinder...Three of us in a row. I agree with others, though, the big companies still rule the road.

Nice you see some out your way.

They seem to be rather rare here in the midwest however.

Oh well, I really enjoy mine and that is the most important thing.
