Do you need this type of bulb base?

20x T10 168 194 W5W White 28 SMD LED Wedge Light Bulb Lamp 12V for Car RV Light | eBay

I haven't tried them yet as won't have access to my camper until April 7th when it comes out of storage and I can get it.

I am curious to see if they will make any difference in the lighting. If not I haven't invested/lost much.

This is what we ordered to replace the 1156's. We have the wedge bases.

They use a fraction of the energy. So they make a big difference regarding battery draw. The light will not be as bright or warm as the bulbs we are replacing.

Default Other LED Options

One thing to think about is the "round" LED type sometimes don't project light efficiently because you've got LEDs facing the ceiling and may not reflect light well.

I've been very happy with these: Robot Check These particular LEDs all face down. These are 6000K which is very white.

Robot Check These LEDs are 3000K which is a "warmer" light, so a yellow"ish" tint.

Your choice - there are lots of them out there.

Yes, I've see those. Equal to a 25 watt incandescent. But $6 each is more than we can spend. That would be about $72 plus tax and shipping. So many necessities to buy for this little money pit.

These will be here today. They have good reviews.

Default My Bad way too expensive

I didn't check the price on Amazon close enough. That's crazy expensive - I can't/won't pay that either.

But-for others reading this thread and interested in LED replacements, try this eBay link. About .70 cents a bulb. Amazon markup is insane.

Be sure to let us all know how the LEDs that you ordered perform.

I have a couple of the pancake style also. Several years ago I bought 2. One had 9 leds & the other had 12 leds. The 9 led one put out a lot less light, but the 12 led one was pretty much identical to the incandescent. I paid about that same price for them as the ones runner posted at the time, but leds have dropped in price quickly over the past 5 years or so.
I never got around to replacing the rest of the bulbs though. Then again we don't bookdock very often so it's not a huge need for us.

Maybe mount it near the key holes in the door. Just had it on in daylight. Very bright. Will test further. Q & A's on it are good.

Sorry. The post above was for a different thread. Can't delete it.
Anyway, the new LEDs arrived and we installed them in six fixtures and stove hood. Didn't do the two bedroom lights or porch light yet though. We think they will be fine. They are a bright cool white but that's not a problem to us. They seem to be plenty bright though it is daylight in the rig now.
