Default Got my notice, camper coming out of winter storage

the 14th - 15th of April due to the extended winter season here.

There is still about 3' more/less of snow lying in the yard around the house so no immediate hurry to bring her home yet.

I do know it's about time to replace the 4 tires since they are spring 2012 factory originals. Last fall, there were signs of some weather checking.

I've looked at Maxxis and Goodyear Endurance ST tires. Closest Maxxis dealer is about 300 miles distant so, most likely, will go with the Goodyear Endurance.

I plan to and hope to get more use of the unit this year than the last couple of years too.

I bought my Goodyears at SamsClub.com this time last year. Free shipping to the closest Sam's and installed there. Was the cheapest around (beat Tire Rack) by far.

Update: double checked the letter and pickup dates are April 4 - 5 ...I thought it was the 14-15th. Hope the snow melts FAST!!

Nearest Sams Club is 230 miles away and not a member but thanks for the suggestion.

Will check WalMart and see if they offer a good price or better than Simple Tire, Tire Rack or Discount Tire Direct, etc.

The spare has never been on the ground, stored under the camper like pickup store their spare tire with a cable lowering system but will check it for condition.

Did a search for Goodyear Endurance tires, ST225/75R15 10 ply.
Best price found is from Discount Tire ~ set of 4 at $480, less 60 discount and another $50 of get their credit card so $480 less $110 = $370 + 31.20 tax = $401.20 and free shipping isn't bad....https://www.discounttiredirect.com/cart

Oh, WalMart was $508 + tax.

Hello Eagle, good to see you survived the winter. I am in the same boat here in Alberta Canada. Just hooked up the battery and tested all systems but the water. Can't wait to get it out.

Gee, we have more snow on the ground today than you do in your photo.

Highest seasonal snow fall was 110 inches winter of '36-'37 as recorded. Winter of 76-77 was 99.3".
This winter season was a little less..I think about 70".
March seems to have the highest snowfall.

Yes we had a heck of a winter as well. Hopefully no more snow for either of us.

I bought 5 Endurance last year (Jan). We are in AZ, and have put on >2000mi so far this year. My brother was running 2yr old GY Marathons and had 2 blowout in one week. He stopped in Las Cruces DT and replaced all with Endurance. I don’t envy y’all with all that snow. Lots of snowbirds here in AZ!

I've read good things about Endurance tires so giving them a try. I haven't had any issues with the factory tires but they are from 21012 so will replace them.
We got snow several months a year but you got cactus & sticker plants 24/7/365

Yeah, it's just too bad they don't do a better job of keeping the snow birds away! It can be hard to find campsites this time of year.

Knew some that operated campgrounds in AZ and they loved the snowbirds who rented sites for the winter months.

Received a notification today from winter storage location, units won't be out for pickup until April 17th due to the 1 -2 foot of snow still on the ground and wet/muddy condition from the thawing. Also, pretty chilly and snow flurries in the forecast for tomorrow.

Oh well, there are detractors in every state.

Still in Florida and won't be back to Michigan (and the Funfinder) until mid May. The trailer has been wrapped up next to the house all winter. I hope it came through the Michigan winter without damage.

Latest update:

The blizzard last Thursday/Friday and Saturday put a crimp in the release of campers from winter storage at the county fairgrounds.

Received notification the campers will NOT be moved out of the storage buildings until next week....... the 22nd and 23rd of April.

That should give the 12.5 - 25 inches of snow we received in this area time to melt...not taking long at daytimes temps been into the 50's and low 60's the last several days.

Also, there is rain in the forecast for tonight, and the next two days.

Ah, a spring rain to freshen thing up ..... mother nature doing her "spring cleaning"

As of April 14th, the total season snowfall 2018-2019 is 81.1 inches which isn't to bad since the most seasonal snowfall was 109.8 inches back in 1936-37. A spring blizzard is not unusual.
