Default It's time to say goodbye

We bought a K-Z 5th wheel today and will be selling our Fun Finder as soon as we have done a shakedown of the K-Z. The Fun Finder was just too small for my tall husband.

Keep having fun everyone.

We did the same thing because we needed more room for our dogs and wanted a walk around bed. You're going to love your fifth wheel. They pull great. But you don't need to leave. We haven't. Enjoy.

Best of everything with your KZ 5th wheel but just because you changed brands, no need to leave the forum.

Please, continue to share your experiences.

You wouldn't think we were traitors? I took my album off because I didn't want the new owners of our trailer to come here and freak out.

The biggest reason I look at these RV forums is to get ideas for tips and tricks to make my RV'ing better, easier, for suited for me, and more fun. Really it crosses all brands. This particular forum is pretty small compared to many others, so we need all the members we can get to stick around !

Best of luck and have fun with your new RV, but for sure, feel free to stay and share your mods and experiences here.

I should go take some pics of all the mods you did for me earlier this week!! Let's see, what did George do that was above my pay grade?

1) installed mud dauber screen on HWH outside
2) installed carpet on step
3) showed me how to properly use front window lift
4) made and installed a wooden wedge to make my thermostat visible from my height (no short jokes...)
5) told me how to install cup holder by bed

Must have been more but it escapes me now.
THANKS AGAIN, G!!
And here's a GREAT pic he took of our pups who are 10 days apart in age...that's Flirt on the left, and my Mattie on the right.

They are about 10 months old...

George's Flirt is a great traveler. Mattie's a vomiter, in copious amounts from her tiny tummy. My car and truck seats are always lined with puppy pads. And yet, she still manages to miss...

Get a puppy they said...

But on a better note, the Lance was free of defects this time. Optimism is returning...

Here is our new-to-us rig.

I was a little sad to see the FF leaving, but dh didn't miss it at all. He can stand up in the shower and sit down in the bathroom with the door closed. lol Two things we never even thought to check when we bought the FF.

Sure. I'll try to pick up a little tomorrow. Hard to keep it nice when living in one full time.

It does look big on the outside. It's 28' total, just 5' longer than our FF. But it has 2 slides and the bedroom is separated from the living area so it feels a lot bigger. We only wanted to go up to 26' including tongue, but couldn't find anything that fit dh, so we upped it to 28' max on length and it's surprisingly difficult to find, especially in new or newer trailers.

I guess everyone wants a sofa and couple of recliiners plus a dinette now. When we were looking at new trailers, there was a big jump from 23' to 30', and then the tongue length and they were up to 32-33'.

We were excited to find that dh could stand up in this and that it only had one seating area and booth. We never planned on getting a fifth wheel and dh has never pulled a FW, so it should be interesting.

Looks great! Fifth wheels pull great if they are set up right. You'll love the extra space and yes, it's getting harder and harder to find smaller ones.

True that it's getting harder to find a selection of smaller trailers, whether bumper pull or fifth wheel. Look at funfinder lineup now....all they make are longer trailers.
