Default Looking at buying a Shadow Cruiser 313BHS

We visited a dealership today and liked the Shadow Cruiser and a Pathfinder model.

My concern with the Shadow Cruiser are that they are fairly new and I can't find many reviews. Does anyone have any experience with these trailers? It has everything I want as far as features (especially the storage), but I'm a bit leery.

Any advice?

We have a baby shadow cruiser (195wbs) a little shorter than by what you are looking at, So far we love ours, we steped down from a 26' forestriver fifthwheel, and before that a 25'prowler fifthwheel. but i have to say we love our little unit it is well equiped and all the junk that we had in our fifthwheel we got it all in this little cruiser.

Default 313 BHS

Hi: I have just purchsed the model you are looking at and i had the same concerns.
After doing a lot of homework i went ahead and made the purchase and so far so good. i spoke with a couple of owners as the dealer here gave me the names of a couple of people that have purchased one and i gave them a call before buying.
The unit seems to be well built and the fit and finish is excellent and the unit seems to be pretty solid for a super light unit.
The unit tows well with my Dodge Hemi.
We liked the second bedroom for the grandkid.
Hope this helps a little.

We have the S260BHS, a little smaller but the same kitchen, slide and front bedroom. First, confirm the weight. 6 months after we bought ours we got a new weight label from Cruiser RV adding 700 pounds to the dry weight. As far as quality, there are some videos on YouTube showing construction in the factory, so you can see how they are put together. There are some choices made that seem to indicate they are trying to use better materials: stainless steel kitchen sink, Marinco power cord, alloy wheels, Beaufloor flooring. Other choices are for weight, especially the cabinets. Doors are solid wood and plywood, but the carcasses are built with lightweight plywood wrapped with vinyl. Screws do not hold well in the lightweight core. Most of the other fittings are basic RV, lots of plastic, the most basic appliances, etc. The big slide really opens up the floor space, but you may not be able to access the bunkhouse or bathroom with it closed. Many people find that important, it is not to us. The only issues we had were one loose piece of trim, no signal from the antenna and the awning broke (Dometic issue.) All were repaired quickly by our dealer, Family RV in Pomona. Since June we have 26 nights in the trailer and do not regret our purchase.

We just had our first little shake down run and here is what i can tell you to lookout for.

1) The bathroom heating vent works very well. however we had no heat from all the floor vents throughout the unit.

2) The welds on the spare tire rack broke within 50 miles and left the spare tire barely hanging on to the unit.

The good news. Our dealer ( Roadmaster RV) changed the ducting so that it flows to both the bathroom and the rest of the RV and installed a closeable vent in the bathroom at no charge.
They also welded the spare tire rack up with proper filet welds.

Just my notes from Day 1.

Had the rig out again last week and used the outdoor kitchen for the first time. Guess what! the fridge does not work.

another little thing to look for before you head out.
