Default New Fun Finder - Extended Warranty

What are your thoughts on extended warranties?

We are leaning towards "yes", since so much is electronic on these new trailers.

Are they worth it? Anyone have experience to share?

The price seems reasonable to me, but I would love your expertise.
(5yrs, $1000, no deductible)

I have never purchased an extended warranty on any product.

Just like buying insurance, they offer it because they make money on it from all those who pay the premium and never use it.

Others may view it differently but that's just me.

We bought one on our current trailer and have not used it. But it offers peace of mind. I get them when I buy cars, too. It is almost always a money-losing proposition.

I don't buy the extended warranty on most electronic goods, though.

They are tricky. If they can find a way to get around paying on it, they will. Also, RVs are not like cars. Every system is a different manufacturer and you probably need to deal with them separately to get service. Most people don't take the time to read through the paperwork before signing up. Just understanding what it says could take an attorney. Put the $1000 in a bank account and grow it. Just my 2 cents.
