Default Slide out manual crank

Hi Everyone,
I was wondering if someone can fill me in on the location of the slide out motor manual crank to manually crank the slide out in if I ever have a motor failure. I have a 2014 215wsk. Haven't had any problems yet but you know it will probably happen when I'm out in the boonies!

Thanks

I've never heard of such an item as videos I've seen, the electric drive motor is disconnected and the slide is then manually pushed in.

Question

When you say disconected you mean the 12 volt power to the motor ?

No - I mean the motor is disconnected from the slide as the electric motor is moved away from the slide mechanism....at least in the Schwintek system Cruiser uses.

Eagle is correct and that video is a good one. There is no manual override or crank option. In my opinion this is a manufacturer oversight and does cause me some anxiety every time we use it. I can’t help but think...”hope this comes in we it’s time to leave”.

It’s good to familiarize yourself with how to remove the motors and also have a way to secure the slide out closed (motors lock it up in normal operation).

Everything mechanical eventually fails ... It’s not a matter of ‘if’, it a question of ‘when’. Know your equipment and have the necessary tools.

The manual crank for the slideout is located where most trailer overrides are are located. In your wallet.

We have the 2015 WSK and it does have a way to crank in the slide manually.

On the curb side, under the entry step light is the connector. To attach the provided tool, the stairs must be down/deployed. Then you can make one half of a turn before hitting the step with the crank. Then you take it out of the connector, turn the crank back, reconnect and take yet another half turn.

That's right. We bought it new and it came with the factory crank. I challenged the Sales, and Service crew to explain it to me.

Oft times, engineers are like accountants - that is they convert something very simple into something near impossible.
