Default Upsized, but hanging around

After Fun Finding for 4-5 years, it was time to upgrade. With the family growing, now at 4 grandsons, we needed something a bit larger. I have learned a lot about RVing on this site and will check in occasionally to keep gaining some general RV knowledge. We have sold out FF to a friend and I will refer him to this site.

Old: Fun Finder XT-200, 21.5' bumper pull, sleeps 4
New: KZ Venom, 43.5' Fifth Wheel, sleeps 9 (on paper, can do 12)

I have a new truck (Ram 3500 w/ H.O. Diesel) on order to pull the new one, but still waiting for it. Been 21 weeks since it was placed on order.

Here are some side by side pics comparing the two.

Wow!! That's a great rig -- I think you are going to love the extra space!

Wow, a me too moment...

Fun Finder was fine with me and the wife and occasional grandson, but when the grown sons want to come, space ran out.

Had a Fun Finder 244 RBS pulled with a Jeep Grand Cherokee
Jeep wasn't the best to vehicle (short wheelbase) so-
Enter new GMC 1500 Sierra Crew Cab SLT 3.0 Duramax
Way better tow vehicle, there was the space issue-
Enter new 35' Cherokee Arctic Wolf 5th wheel.
With 2 slides plenty of space for all aboard.
And infinitely easier to tow, either in forward or backing up.

Wife and I bought our Fun Finder XT276 years ago to have some 'private time' on our own. The grown kids, 2 of 4, have seen the inside - never been out with us and the grandkids have never been inside. And not sure the great grandkids even know we have a camper but then have never seen some of them either.

We like it that way.
