Default What's behind the side panels on the cabinets?

Does anyone know what is behind the end sections of these cabinets? There is a divider inside and you can't see what is behind them. There are speakers underneath. We are thinking it might just be speaker wiring. We will probably be creating access from inside so we can use the ends for storage. Any suggestion? Thanks!!

We found that the speakers and the panels on our cabinets concealed a lot of empty space. I removed the speakers, took out the panels, and created a storage area. There was a big clock in the same area -- it's gone, too.

There may be wiring running through that area -- we just bundled it together with cable ties and fastened the bundle to the back of the cabinet, so it would be out of the way.

Great! Thanks for the information. Definitely wasted space that could be used. And yes, in the middle there is a panel with a weird mirror that had a clock/temperature thingy velcroed to it. We may just leave that.

I plan on opening up these cabinet spots too since this 189FBR that we just purchased has so little space compared to our older and smaller Kit Companion. We are having a hard time fitting into it.
