Default Window Valances - FF 2008 18 ft.

Does anyone know how to remove the valances? Have tried but seems impossible. Want to replace the coverings.

We did it on ours. There are L-shaped brackets inside the wood valances which secure them to the trailer wall. You need to unscrew the brackets from the valance, leaving the bracket on the wall. It is difficult to get to them. You may have to lay on your back and use an extension on your driver. Not easy, but doable. I remade mine because I kept the shades and wanted the tops covered.

Default Thank you for your reply.

May give it another try. Currently have made one to cover the present one, just fabric and double sided tape. Have had the sofa recovered and looks great. Fresh colours. Now to cover the wallpaper border behind the sink. May try the new self adhesive backsplash products.

Hi Annette. We didn't have a slide in ours so no sofa. But I did reupholstering the sofa in our current one. I used the smart tiles for s backsplash in our Funfinder. Big improvement! I'll be using them again in our current RV. I can't post pictures on here for some reason. But I just posted a thread with a link to my Flickr album. Redecorating is fun, but can be hard work too.

Default Valances removed

Got two off so far. Will experiment with those. They probably used an upholstery stapler but may have to use a regular heavy duty one. May have to finish the others after the summer as my time is running out. Thanks for the encouragement with the tiles. Will be searching them out.

We use a cheap electric stapler. Not expensive at all. It takes regular Arrow staples which come in various lengths.
Here is the official smart tiles site. I got mine at a sale price both times. But I don't see any sales on here.
