Ditto! 10 here with a glaze of ice and snow flurries. Lots of churches closed tomorrow in the area.

Happy Holidays all! Getting cold here too - only going to get to 64 today. Believe it or not but there's a chance of snow overnight!

Yes! Time to think about where to go in May. Heading north in May was not a great plan this year I guess. The black flies and mosquitoes told us that! But we did have some pretty campsites.

Yep, time to plan..... into the Carolina's in April and Florida in May. Maybe sooner. Depends on getting some projects done......

It was 67 here Christmas day and now (at last) there's a chance of snow in the 10 day extended forecast! YAY! A couple of inches would be nice!
If it doesn't snow down here maybe we can drive up into north GA to see it.

Well Kansasnewbie,
It just so happens that I want to make the Arizona Gold & Treasure show in Phoenix, AZ March 11 - 12 and hopefully, will be passing through Kansas sometime the first week of March...

I often follow I-35 south out of Mn, catching the I-335 Turnpike to Topeka and south to Wichita, and then, pick up I-35 again there... continuing south to I-40... I try to avoid the mountains through Colorado at this time of year...

I prefer the backroads, but I am limited on time this trip, and still have to sleep somewhere. I stayed at a very empty campground in ?Somewhere?, Kansas in Feb. 2016... I will have to take a break in Kansas again this coming spring... If you live anywhere near this route and available to camp or drop by, it would be cool to meet someone from the Forum... If yes, we can set up via PM... I haven't set up a route with gas and rest stops yet, but will as the calendar gets closer.... I really prefer a campground over Truck Stops, Wally's and Rest Areas...

P.S.
The same invitation is open to anyone heading my direction ...

John, you are going to be going farther east than we live and south as well. We live closer to the middle of the state by Manhattan.
Don't blame you on avoiding the mountains....early spring is too " iffy" on weather!

Hey Kansas Newbie,
Check your PM's... I think I can work it out... A bit out of the way, but not too bad...
