I like the looks of it and it looks like it actually sets in the water... Cool, I may have to order one... Thank you for the info and post...

Way to go Eagle... I thought of that, but the shovel was easier to get to and I needed my morning exercise... so, I just walked back and forth, pushing that fluffy stuff to the sides...

Paul is snow throwing the dog yard and path around the wood pile. A little sunnier today but still flurries coming now and again. Bracing for the really cold weather tomorrow (tonight?)

Nifty, had no idea they made such for bird baths. The heaters for cattle water tanks are much larger!

May have to get one so the birds have water in the winter.

Great pics too .. passed them on to others.

I know this isn't just about the weather but tonight is gonna be 35 here and 63 tomorrow......what's a camper to do? Mid sixties on Sunday as well with rain both days!
If it wasn't for the rain (which we need so desperately) we'd be in the woods........

A little cool here too:

.. Wind chill warning remains in effect until noon CST /11 am
MST/ Sunday...

* wind chill values... expect wind chills to range from 25 below
zero to 45 below zero this morning through noon Sunday... with
the coldest wind chills occurring around 11 PM this evening
through sunrise Sunday.

* Impacts... the dangerously cold wind chills will cause
frostbite in as little as 10 minutes to exposed skin.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A wind chill warning means the combination of very cold air and
the wind will create dangerously low wind chill values. Frost
bite can occur quickly and even hypothermia or death if
precautions are not taken.

Hahaha! Yes you and Minnesota have been getting the Polar Express (great movie by the way). I feel for you. I really do!! I was just out spreading straw for our new feral cat and I could hardly move my fingers when I got in.
We've been going through wood like it's becoming obsolete or something. Not good. But gotta keep the home fires burning.

The weather forecasters have changed the name for a more dramatic effect to ARTIC VORTEX.

LOL

Since it's going to get cooler from our warm -6 this am as the day progresses, I need to fire up the snow blower and clear the driveways and sidewalk pretty soon.

Oh, I did get out my winter jacket too.

Sorry, just saw this. Most of the time I take photos with my iPhone 7+. Sometimes I use my real camera...a Canon SX510 HS. But the phone is so handy and does a pretty good job for my purposes. I use some different applications to tweak them. My favorite is Snapseed. It is very versatile and helps to bring photos to life. I also use Brushstroke sometimes. That can make photos look like paintings. I am a total snapshot taker and don't pretend to be professional. I just have fun with it. I take a lot of pictures and Thank God I don't have to pay for film anymore.

Since someone mentioned cameras, eagles, etc.
We have a new eaglet in the world as of this morning. Egg #2 hatched this morning and is being closely covered by mom and dad.

Less pleasant than the eagle cam but this effects us all.
In Michigan our gas tax goes up over 7 cents tomorrow as well as our vehicle registration fees.
We are at least 18th out of 50 states for our gas tax.
Our yearly registration for our almost 11 year old car is now $111 dollars and $23 for each motorcycle. We also pay an extra $160 per year for each vehicle we drive into an insurance fund on top of our regular insurance fees. Time to leave Michigan??

Well, I hope everyone enjoyed a little sun and warm today and yesterday...

The trailer is home and I will be starting to work on it and the TV (I need something up front, in the TV, to hold radios (Ham & CB), GPS, B.U. Cam, additional 12 vdc plugs, etc... This all gets rolling now that I can go outside without a heavy jacket & gloves... It'll be late March or April before we take the FF out, but I'm looking forward to the trip and starting to plot places to visit in MN this year...

The Boss and I drove upstate, a little west and north of Duluth yesterday... Nice drive and I took a few pics of two eagles near Sax-Zim Bog, and then we decided to drive through Isanti on the way home and was able to get a few nice pics of that pair... Nice day overall... Here is one of the pics taken from about 70 yds. near Sax-Zim Bog...

Hope everyone is doing well and getting their rigs ready or some of you, already camping...

Great photo John. Very clear and I like the spread wing sho! You have nice camera equipment. We have been getting out in the sun a lot lately. Walking a lot and taking pictures.
Just curious what kind of mileage you get. Gas or diesel? As you probably noticed we are test driving and checking out s new tv. Thanks.
I would post pictures here of our rambles but I can't figure out how. I did put a photo of the tv in my album.
