Marti's FF Escapemobile
Branson, Missouri, October, 2015. Our first big trip in the Fun Finder.
Branson, Missouri at a Rhonda Vincent concert. October, 2015.
Lake Whitney, November 14, 2015. Weather was perfect.
National Parks on the Air July 22, 2016. Hubby is a ham radio enthusiast and we went to a lot of national parks and monuments to make contacts.
We bought our 2009 X210 Fun Finder August 2, 2015 and couldn't wait to start camping.
It came with a screened room that had never been used. It had to be fitted to the trailer and awning, but once that was done, set up was pretty easy....
This is the first weekend we had it and I think the only time the vinyl walls were pulled down.
The day we bought the FF X-210. Lesson learned: always take the entire sheet off when inspecting trailer. There was a reason there was a black sheet...
First mod, remove that head knocking upper bunk. Still can't sit up in bed and read though, the valance is in the way.
Took down the bunk rail, valance, and window shade and attached a fabric covered foam board in its place. NOW I can sit up and read before going to...
The trailer had had very little done to it in six years.
I attached a paper towel holder to the wall and command hooks beside the stove for coffee...
I made a larger counter that fits on top of the original counter. It's a little longer and has a cut out for one side of the sink, making the counter...
After replacing the mattress, it was hard to lift to get to the storage underneath. Also, the platform was about seven inches too narrow for a queen...
Other than cutting drawer holes in the front paneling, this is the only piece that had to be rebuilt. It is the front frame under the foot of the...
We also added drawers to the platform to make better use of the space. There is a black box attached to the back so there is about four inches behind...
Above the drawers, another plywood piece so larger things can be stored.
We used 1x10 pine for the drawer fronts and stained them to match. The drawer pulls are from Lowes and match the rest of the trailer.
When we got the trailer, it had a musty smell and I finally figured out it was the carpet around and under the bed. What's odd is that the carpet...
I had to cover the front of the side cabinets with new plywood that we stained to match. I put rubber edge protector around the bottom part of the...
I cut a shoe pocket organizer into strips, sewed fabric along the top and attached grommets, then hung them on the side of the bed platform under the...
Hubby's shoes won't fit in the pockets of the organizer, so I took it down and put up hooks for his shoes. It worked when we were parked, but they...
I don't think the trailer originally came with towel holders or they would have been chrome. One bath towel bar was nice, but two is better for us. ...
The trailer came with a thin, plastic shower curtain that floated in and wrapped around us when we were showering. I replaced it with a shower...
Because of the curve of the bathtub, it also had a gap at each end that let water splatter out when the shower curtain was trying to wrap around us.
I attached adhesive backed hooks to each end of the shower and used curtain ring clips to attach the curtain to the existing ceiling track and the...
