09-13-2020 12:44 PMCarolineI need a weight distribution and sway Control hitch that I can easily lift and mount. Because of repeated back surgeries, i want to keep the weight of any one item to 30 pounds or less. Does anyone have any suggestions on a good quality Light weight system that is easy to use? I have a 2011 189 FBS and tow it with a 2015 Ford Expedition with a heavy duty towing package. Thank you.

Sorry for the delay I just saw you message about running the AC on a small generator. Try this link: Go to RVlife.com and look for air-conditioner-2200-watts .
There are also several brands of soft start kits available that you can install on the AC unit which allows it to take less current when it starts. They are all somewhat expensive but some are cheaper than others. You might also pay attention to the user comments.
Good luck! -
08-29-2020 09:59 PMCarolineI have a 2011 189 fbs and the fresh water tank spin weld fitting cracked on me necessitating a new spin weld fitting. To avoid expensive repairs, I want to remove the tank myself and take it in for the spin weld, then reinstall it. Has anyone done this and if so, do you have any suggestions? It looks like I need to remove the 3 hoses that connects it to the trailer, and the sensor wires first. Then if I support the tank, it looks like if I then remove one of the steel L brackets, I should be able to slide the tank back 2 inches out of the other bracket and drop it down. Advice welcome. They want one hours labor to drop the tank, one hours labor to do the spin weld (which takes 5 seconds) and another hour to reinstall the tank, all at $140/hour, so $420 total to install a plastic fitting!!!
