No special connector needed. The wires for the LED's are very light weight as LED's take very little power. Soldering them is best and cover with electrical tape for insulation and/or use an...

I installed a strip to light the entry steps today. Wired directly to the battery with a waterproof push button switch on the hitch.

I thought about adding a strip under the awning ..... but...
