139 hot water tank info

Either fill your tank and turn on the pump or connect to a city water hose. Open the hot water tap on a faucet until water is flowing.

Thanks very much. I put on the pump and water flowed so I guess the tank is getting water. The cold water tank was empty but I kept getting water.
I went to the outside of the trailer where the hot water tank is and there is a rod, aluminum I think lying in the compartment. I think it goes into a hole on the bottom of the compartment. What is it and should I screw it back in.

yes the anode rod needs to go in(use Teflon tape to prevent leaks ) and read the manual or contact the dealer about how the bypass valves need to be set to put water back into the water heater. to make sure the water heater is full of water and bleed air, lift the blow off valve at the top ( approx. 10" above the anode)
