189FDS Bunk Bed Mod

Own a 2012 FDS. Max weight says 210lbs. More than enough, however rail supports look weak. Wondering if anyone has modded the bunk to beef it up slightly?

Nope -- I took it out completely and replaced it with a cargo net that stores our bedding! I would be wary of loading it with more than the rated weight -- I don't trust the walls of the trailer to bear much of a load. The weight of the bunk will tend to pull out on the screws, and the paneling is very thin, unless you are sure the bunk supports are well attached to the studs.
