Think my OEM radio/CD/DVD player is about to quit. Some speakers work then quit, outside speakers are inop...just getting old. Want to replace with a similar size unit with am/FM, CD n DVD. Anyone done a replacement? If so give me a product name. My unit is mounted next to the bathroom about chest level. Don't need speakers, just the unit. Really the CD and DVD players are important...radio not so much.

I did this a few years ago. I swapped out the old Jensen with a new model of the same dimensions. The nice thing was the all the connectors were identical so I didn't need to do any rewiring.

There are only a few manufacturers out there and none of them stand out quality-wise from what I could tell. My recommendation would be measure what you have now and do an internet search to see if you can find one the same size from the same manufacturer. Crutchfield is a good place to start because they provide a lot of details including the dimensions.

Read another post from MT n mirrored mine. My unit's balance n volume buttons are touchie...wiggle them n volume changes or speaker balance changes. Outside speakers used to work but inop now. Tested with another speaker n still no sound. On FM I can hear lot of background noise. Rig had a seperate DVD player n now know why. When AC is running it is hard to hear movies when sitting at dinette table. Thinking about putting another speaker up front. OR use a set of wireless headphones I have. Think I will know more when I take out old unit n look at wiring. Tnx or reply.

we went with a television with built in DVD. Then bought a car radio for the trailer. use the radio for the surround sound. And it all works on 12 volts when we are dry camping

You might consider a JVC Double DIN unit which is designed for a car/boat/RV/truck with an integral 6.2 inch touch screen/display. It has CD/DVD/AM/FM and can be expanded to Sirius XM. There are also several audio and video inputs and outputs, including a camera input. You can find them on Amazon and many electronics stores. We waited until we found one discounted at the end of the season. Other brands include Panasonic, Kenwood, etc. It was much better than the OEM unit.

My RV service had a couple of catalogs I browsed for a radio/cd/clock/bluetooth player. Read the specs in catalog for the dimensions. Nothing came close to the same size, so I went with one that was almost the same width and was shorter top to bottom. I wired it myself and mounted it in the hole. I bought a little wood piece to paint and put hinges on to make a "door" for the lower part of the hole to store phone chargers in. Sorry, the info on the unit is not here, it is in the trailer at storage.

As to the outdoor speakers, mine were crackling and the grill broken, so my rv service people went to Walmart and bought two speakers and put them in. They work great!

I just got my fun finder and am having same issue DVD/CD doesnt open/work and I have a little one that this could really be a big help with.

I am completely illiterate regarding stereos and the only place in town said they didnt think they could get these older units they mainly just do car ones and I was just wondering if anyone has any suggestions on the Jensen model that is the replacement for these?
I have a 2008 Fun Finder X160

I found a Jensen on Amazon which might work for you and it is $140. This is the description:
Jensen JWM41 2-Speaker Zones AM/FM|DVD|CD|USB|AUX| Bluetooth Wallmount Stereo, Speaker Output 4X 6 Watt, Plays: CD, CD-R, CD-RW, DVD, DVD+RW, DVD-RW, DVD-Video, MPEG-4, VCD, JPEG, CD-DA, MP3, WMA

I have no idea whether it is plug compatible with yours or not. You might check the size and see whether it would fit the space. If so you might be able to make it work for you. Unfortunately the brands of Jensen, Furrion and iRV tend not to rate very high by customers on Amazon but they can be quite functional. My FunFinder came with a Furrion which was okay. These are the three brands I noticed most on Anazon when I search for walmount stereo CD AM FM.

I've been down this path a couple of times with rv's I've purchased that didn't have a DVD player. I'm pretty 12v radio savvy as I've dabbled in car stereo upgrades my whole life (35+ yrs).

There are somewhat limited options as others have said. Best bet is to pull out the old unit and check the opening size or post the make/model here and maybe I could help located a direct drop in. I'm assuming you want a DVD for movies, as did I. It's just nice to have for long rainy days.

Next, I doubt the new unit will just plug in to the old wiring/plug. But actually they are quite easy to hook up. Not that many wires and most of them are speaker wires. The new unit will come with very easy wiring diagram.

The hardest part is probably going to be matching up the hole cut-out. I've altered the last 2 campers I've had to fit new units in. I've also run HDMI cables in each for a better picture. This is optional and typically hasn't been the easiest to do. But I figured if I'm going to watch might as well watch with a better picture. You can all but forget trying to find one that plays Blu-rays.

I would recommend looking into the iRV products. Unfortunately I think the quality is somewhat poor but it's the best options for rv's. Crutchfield can be of help as even Etrailer has a lot of options.

With a few more details I would be more than willing to help you locate something and add any help I could via messages with the install. Here's an example of a one I've found on Amazon:
