2008 160x - no power when plugged in to shore power

Hi!

I have a 2008 160x and when I plug in to shore power, I have no power at all in the trailer. I have verified that shore power is working, tried both positions of the battery disconnect, in case that might be connected to the shore power system.. The breakers are all on... Is there another disconnect between the shore power outlet and the fuse panel? I'm stumped with this one.

Easiest way is the most direct also —

Just using a volt meter set to either AC or 12V DC — depending on where you are testing for voltage — start tracing voltage from where the power comes in — follow it forward to the converter — checking voltage in & out. Then you should be able to determine if it is a breaker, fuse, switch, converter, or something else by getting to the point where the voltage drops to zero.

Do you have GFCI receptacle plugs on your trailer?

Do you have an ON/OFF switch on the converter?

Do you detect or smell any burning?

There is an inline fuse near the battery — but this shouldn’t affect anything — but good to check.

Ok, so it was the power at the last place. Which was weird as the ug did have power to it as another camper was using the second plug ok. Anyway, at a new spot this week and everything works as it should

It would be good to trace, check, and verify that all is working well now.

Could be corrosion or something on a switch, plug, or whatever?

Check from the shore power source to the inside 12V converter.

Clean up any issues with a little abrasive and electrical connection spray.

Better to verify and check now — then when on the road.
