Hello. I have been a faithful reader on this site but this is my first post. My wife and I have a 2007 189 FBS that we have owned and camped in for 3 years all over FL. We decided to take 6 weeks off and hit the road with the FF, our 12 yo daughter, 11 yo son, and our 10 yo Pitt Bull. We traveled thru 19 states and close to a dozen National Parks including Yellowstone, Zion, Bryce, Arches, Grand Canyon and several others. Temps ranged from 27 to 112. I put a new set of tires on, greased the bearings on the FF and gave the truck (1/2 ton 5.3 l Chevy) an oil change and a coat of wax.

We just returned with tons of pictures, memories and not one issue or bad thing to say about the FF. I kept my speed around 60-62. Some of the roads were rough and brutal but she didn't give me any grief. We had 2 nasty storms with tons of rain...no leaks! I did have to remove the spare tire. The bolts were pulling out. Water got into the wall but I dried it out, fill the holes in with caulking, and put 2 nice refectors on the back. I guess we will carry the tire in PU bed for now. That seems like a poor place to mount it. Anyways, I couldn't be more pleased we the trailer and its performance.

Welcome to the forum, Boss. Glad to hear you had such a great trip. We plan on taking two weeks next March between KC and Ft. Lauderdale, park the TT and go on a week long cruise. We will then head North and West for three weeks coming back home. Hope our 6 week trip is as trouble free as your's was.

Always a pleasure to hear the positive side that seldom gets as much attention or voice as the complaints.

Glad you had a wonderful trip and time. :)
