Hello all,
Wondering if anyone can give me some troubleshooting tips on my AC unit. I have a 2013 FunFinder X189 and I can't get the AC unit to work. I have replaced the circuit breakers and am looking for next steps to see if I can get the unit working before undertaking the job of replacing the unit. All fuses seem to be working properly but the fan/AC unit do not turn on. Any tips on troubleshooting would be greatly appreciated thanks!

And if you have replaced your AC

Thermostat would be my guess too. Before replacing anything, make sure that the wall mounted thermostat control lever is all the way to the left. Not sure if the wall mounted thermostat controls the A/C unit? Could be different for various models and model years but I believe that (for my ‘07 x210) the wall mounted Suburban branded thermostat only controls the Suburban branded OEM propane heater. The Dometic branded A/C unit has its own thermostat with a control knob on the unit’s panel. (I do suppose that the A/C’s thermostat could be faulty). I may be overthinking this but it’s possible that the heater control thermostat has to be OFF to allow the A/C unit to function. I’ll qualify all of the above with “I’m not an expert with either system” 😉. I rarely use the A/C or the heater and leave the wall mounted thermostat control lever in the left most position which does allow the A/C unit to operate. I’ve never tried to run both A/C and heat (inadvertently or not) at the same time.

This is very helpful, just bought a thermostat and will see if that does the trick. Thanks so much!

yes let us know, since our 2014 went out and we are thinking its the compacitor.
My 2011 189 air conditioner went out while camping in Gulf Shores (very hot) A repairman replaced the air box inside the trailer. This contains the thermostat and fan control knobs. The new air box is a later model and is much better. I think it was about $400.00 which included the service call to the State Park campground. I also installed the Soft Start which eliminates the capacitor. That is an excellent upgrade which makes the unit much quieter.
