I'm looking at the 210 UDS and from what I see underneath there's room just forward of the exisiting fresh water. There can't be that much to mounting & plumbling in a second tank or am I missing some thing?
Sold my toyhauler that had a 150 gallon fresh tank (& generator) on it, think it might be challenging to drop to =/- 40 gallons when dry camping for a few days.

The biggest problem I see, is the balance and towability of your trailer. The frame and tongue are designed for the current maximum load and load distribution. Adding another 40 gallon tank forward of your existing tank is going to seriously affect the balance and total load of your trailer. 40 gallons of water is going to be roughly 350 lbs of water...add the weight of the tank, mounting hardware, bracing and plumbing and you are probably talking about 500 lbs of unengineered/planned weight being added to the forward balance point and tongue weight.

Easily done, but, will do odd things to the towability, void your chasis and axle warranties and may adversely affect the towability of your unit. If you go that route, I'd talk to several frame builders to see what affects it may have on your existing frame.

Locating a tank forward of the current tank is going to increase the tongue weight a lot. If your truck has the capacity for an additional 400lbs of tongue weight, it might work out. Otherwise I would get a portable tank to fit in your tow vehicle with a 12v pump to refill the trailer tank. That way you can make a run to the water tap and refill as many times as you'd like.

Thanks for the replies, once I get it completed I'll post the results, I think for our type of camping it'll be worthwhile.
As for towing I have a 2500 HD w/the Duramax, extra leaf & airbags out back.
I use a weight distribution hitch & anti-sway bar, after the pulling that 10,000# GVW Toyhauler this FFX should be easier even w/extra water.
