Awning motor repair?

I have a 2010 x-210. When I bought it last year the previous owner had replaced the awning (and it’s in great shape) but he chose not to fix the automatic functioning via the motor and open/close switch. So it only works manually. He said it would cost $900 so he decided not to fix it before he put it up for sale.
I’m pretty good with wiring and motors. it don’t know where to start to fix this.

Any suggestions or would be very appreciated!

You'll have to take the old motor out and get the model number. It's probably a Dometic, but they have replacements from $125 and up depending on model. First remove the wiring from the motor and turn the switch on to see if it's getting current. It may just be the switch.
