When I pull out the battery disconnect switch nothing is happening. It worked before but now nothing comes on. Is there a fuse or something that needs to be checked, the battery is showing 12 volts.

Battery Disconnect

Hi,

Our camper has a fuse in the wire connected to the positive side of the battery. It can be found by starting at the positive battery terminal and following the wire back. It isn't far from the battery on the outside of the camper.

The fuse could be bad our the connection in the fuse holder could be corroded. On our camper, the the fuse holder wires were spliced into the positive wire poorly, and the connection came loose terminating all 12 volt power.

We also had trouble with the shut off switch itself. It seemed to get sticky and wouldn't work. I am not really sure how I finally got it to work, but WD-40 helped.

On a different occasion, a wire connection in the bundle near the disconnect switch came loose and also caused problems.

Found a blown fuse, thanks!

I had the same problem about 3 months after buying my new 276. I spent about 1/2 hour tracing wires under the sink area from the battery disconnect switch until, lying under the camper, moving forward testing wires along the way, I spotted the fuse holder.

Same as you found, the fuse had blown. Replaced it and everything worked as designed.

Actually mine was in plain view but as is often the case I just looked right past it, oh well. I am a little concerned about what blew the fuse and why but I'll add fuses to my on board supply stuff!
