Battery hook up

My DH disconnected the battery and didn't mark the cables. One is green and one is red. Which would be the positive cable?

Red

Red is positive on my trailer and in my truck. Just to prevent mixups, I got some special green and red felt markers -- kind of like washers or flat doughnuts -- that fit over the battery terminals -- I think I got them at Napa Auto Parts.

The accepted standard is the red cable is positive and the black cable is negative.

My cousin who is color blind can't tell colors so his have been marked with tape with Plus and Negative signs.
