Cheap Drop-foot stabilizer jacks

We have a new 260BHS and have not been able to get we wiggles out when camped. I decided to get rid of their cheap jacks and get some stout scissor jacks to replace them. Not as easy as it should be. The fronts are no problem but the little tiny pad on the rear will not accommodate a scissor.
Had to have a welding shop fabricate plates to weld on so the jacks will have a solid base to attach.

BUT the big news is those cheap jacks are NOT even for a trailer this size. They are for a tent trailer or pop-up, very light weight, NORCO # 23007 (new # 23026) rated for 700 # lift and 1000 # static.
If you have one of these units I'd check the jacks...the number and name are on a sticker on the leg. Then get rid of them.

I think Cruiser rv should replace them but heck they don't even answer their phone.

Chef - I discovered the same thing with our 210UDS.
Haven't decided to replace the wimpy jacks yet but it's on my eventually do list. While I was looking at the upgraded jacks I came to the same conclusion, fronts easy. Rear? I like the idea of larger plates welded to provide solid support.
Not sure why CruiserRV went with such inadequate/poorly suited jacks.
I did notice that any larger/heavier replacement scissor jacks have a larger profile and hang down more. This could pose a problem with steep driveways or sites where you need every inch of the camper spot and back in deep - I've sometimes been able to back the rear "over" whatever marks the back of the camper parking slot (R/R tie, log, etc.)
Just something to consider. . .

Agreed... clearenace is a consideration

Actually Amazon has a set of 2 very husky (7500) lb jacks that well lay
pretty flat. I put those on the front. The welding shop is making the plates for me (I used the jack mount to draw the plate I need) and they will
weld them on. More clearance in the back than in front. Then I'll just take
it slow.
Hope that helps. The fronts are on and they are really solid.

Great - do you have brand name and model or a link to the Amazon page?

Always looking for improvements.

I have always thought, by looking at them, that the out and down swingers would be a nice stable platform.
Out fifth wheel had rear scissors and front electric down, and was never stable. But we lived with it.
The scissors were barely bolted to the frame, and were easily rocked by hand when up.
