Cleaning snow from roof?

Like most of the northern half of the country, we've gotten a lot of snow this month with another 20" likely by Thursday. Our 210WBS has a cover on it, but I'm wondering if we should clean some of the accumulated snow off the roof - there's probably a foot and a half up there now. What's the best way to do that without causing damage to the trailer or cover?

Thanks!

Hi, I'm in NJ and was thinking the same thing. I do not have a cover on...have a lot of snow and ice on top, and we are expecting more. I have a roof rake but would not use it as I have too many "things" on my roof including a solar panel. I figure if the big RV dealers do not shovel off the roofs or cover the trailers I should be ok. I was inside last night, getting my flashllights, it seemed to be as snug as a bug in a rug. I would love to hear what other people think since most of the US is under bad weather right now.

Last winter we had a 23" snowfall...TT did just fine with that much snow on the roof. Just waited for it to melt off. No damage done and mine is an '08 with the flat roof (weaker under load) as opposed to the newer models with the crowned roof (stronger under load).

even worse

Ice storm Tuesday in Ohio + funfinder = trouble

I just went out this afternoon to find 2 huge chunks of tree (about 8 in. diameter, longer than the trailer) on top/strewn about...in addition to the foot of ice & snow on top. Our lot is very steep so there's no towing until the spring thaw.
