condensation

what is the method for reducing/eliminating condensation. I currently open a vent and occassionaly a window also. Is there something else that needs to be done. We pretty much camp year round in the hills of Northern AZ so the condensation problem is mostly in the late fall and winter months.

we set up our fantastic using thermo setting, seems to work pretty well, may crack a window or two.. We also live and camp in Az year round.

Low tech solution

When we camp in freezing temps, we often get ice on the insides of the windows. This is despite the foam inserts that we use to cover and insulate the windows. We leave the bathroom hatch open a little -- but if we leave it wide open, the trailer gets down below freezing.

So here is the solution -- as soon as we get up in the morning, we wipe down the windows with a towel! Not very high-tech, but it works.

I think I may try treating the windows with rain-x about the only other thing would be a dehumidifier. Now one other thing we have done that really seems to help is keep the temp down when we go to bed. we just bundle up..sleep better anyway and turn the heater way down. get up in am and only takes about 10-15 minutes fo4 the trailer to warm up

we pretty much do the window/vent along with the heater. probably need to turn the heat up just a bit; which is set at 65.

well you could figure out dew point when camping and offset that with heater setting, I think if you stay 10f under dewpoint your should not get any condensation. Ok extreme, but funny
