I pulled the toilet and cut some of the wood under the black tank and I can see what I am up against. From inside I can see the entire crack. It goes around the drain about 2/3 around. It looks like they hit something and drove the drain pipe up into the tank.
I have access to both sides of the crack.
My problem is what material is the tank made out of? The shower pan is white which is the top part of the tank. I can see where they glued a abs flange into the bottom of the tank to connect the pipe to.
The tank is very flexible. I've read about using abs cement with window screen, flex seal, 3m 5200 marine sealent, eternabond. How do I know what the tank is made of so I can get the right product?

Wow, that is a major crack. If you use window screen as your mesh, be sure it is fiberglass material and not metal. Or you could use that yellow plastic mesh that they use for drywall patching. Let us know how it goes!

I read about the plasti-mend and went ahead and ordered a kit from them. Hopefully it is worth the extra cost. It will be worth it if it holds.
