We live on Vancouver Island, BC. and are thinking of purchasing a FF 210UDS in the U.S. The trailers are hard to find here (shipping charges are so high from Indiana). Are there any problems with customs if we do that?

I'm not sure... I don't imagine getting it across the border will be an issue, but, having the title come across may be an issue. I'm sure there will be import taxes and I would imagine some sort of "safety" or "equipment" inspections to make sure it meets Canadian road worthiness standards. I would definitely check with the "authorities" before making the decision. It would be terrible to get "wrong" or "mistaken" information from the web and find out different at the border.

Your best bet would be to contact the Canadian authorities to find out the true impact of buying "south", but, owning "north" and what hoops you may have to jump through. I would imagine the "bulk" would be same, but, I do know that your governing areas have different rules that may also have some impact on your decision...

Maybe one of your fellow Canadians, I think I remember seeing a couple on this forum, will chime in if they see this post :D We had an '08 210WBS; a good combination of spaciousness and compact maneuverability, the UDS version should do you well and hopefully we'll see you on here as the "proud new owners"! 8)
