I have the above unit installed. This unit has no external temp control and does not seem to run cold enough.

Has anyone tried to get one of these to run colder ?

Any suggestions appreciated. We are in S. Texas and it is hotter than Hades here almost all the time.........

You may have tried/checked already already but just in case:

Make sure your trailer is level, if it's not the fridge won't chill as well.
Make sure the evaporator fins inside the fridge aren't iced up.
Make sure the exhaust is clear
Make sure its not packed too full so that the air can't circulate.
If the burner is dirty or not operating properly it will cause problems, probably need a qualified service person to check that though.

If none of these help you can buy a small battery operated fan to put inside for a few bucks that may help somewhat, and you can also install a fan on the exhaust to move more air over the coils that may help.

I'm sure there's other stuff that could cause the problem, hopefully someone with more experience will chime in.

I'm not sure on the 2351, but, on quite a few of the "automatic" type refrigerators, they are actually "controlled" by a thermister mounted inside the unit on the cooling fins. Sometimes the thermister is mounted low (that's the coldest part of the fins) and if it is just clamped there, it can be slid up the fins towards the top. More towards the top and it will read the warmer part of the fins fooling it into thinking the whole refrigerator is too warm making it run the cooling cycle longer 8)

These units are just cheap small units. No external adjustments (or inside the box either) are available. I was thinking there may be an mechanical/electrical adjustment trick to cool it down....

We had Motorhomes for 25 years and this fridge seems to work OK, just not cold enough...

Any repair guys out there ????
