I've seen several places that sell a waterproof bag with a draw string to put over the hitch electric jack to keep rain off it.

Anyone use one?

I can see where it would keep rain from getting on the jack motor in the jack head but being waterproof, seems like it would trap moisture within from the air and warm/colder temps and expedite corrosion to the electric jack motor.
???

I have a husky electric hitch. I don't use a cover. Figure they're designed to be exposed to the elements, so haven't bothered. For me it would be one more thing on the "breaking" camp list, I'd probably lay it down and forget it.

Jack cover

I do use the cover I never remove it. You can feel the buttons through the cover and my thought is that it protects from sun damage as well as rain not too concerned about the moisture that might be trapped but sun damage is a big factor especially for the rubber and even the plastic.

For the plastic exposed to the sun, I simply wipe it with 303 whenever I wash the camper and/or wipe 303 on the tire sidewalls. Areospace 303 UV protector.

Electric jack cover

I use a cover on my electric jack after having my first one fail due to moisture damage. I thought it would be unnecessary as the unit looked well made and water tight but on an outing it began to seriously act up. Upon inspection it was full of corrosion apparently caused by moisture getting in past one of the switches. For that reason I always keep a cover on my new jack. I too have found it easy to leave it in place while operating the switches.
