Is there a schematic squirrelled away somewhere in my trailer or is it available somewhere?

I'm trying to figure out why my battery doesn't power any of the 12 vdc devices - battery disconnect switch is in the correct position but is crammed into a front compartment so far like some kind of cruel practical joke...

Battery has a full charge and seems to be getting a charge from shore power. I say seems to because it was plugged in all winter and the tongue jack which is wired direct still worked and works with shore power removed.

I have and know how to use a multimeter.

I have never seen one available for any trailer anywhere. Apparently it's just not something trailer manufacturers make available.

If the battery was on the trailer all winter and is still fully charged then it would seem that the converter is charging the battery. Otherwise it would be dead for sure.

Your jack is likely wired directly to the battery with an inline fuse. That's typical due to the proximity to the battery.

I would suspect the 12V fuse panel is where your problem is. Check to see if you have 12V to any of the circuits there to start.

I put a bracket over my battery push pull switch all the stuff kept pushing it so now its protected.

Our brakes operate from the tow vehicle when hooked up and the break away switch for the brakes is wired directly to the house battery. Our battery disconnect doesn't affect brake operation.
The disconnect we have is one of those rotary switches with the large red key.

Obvious question: Did you check the fuse from the battery to the main line into the trailer?

My 30 amp fuse keeps blowing when I tow, I think I have it narrowed down to the fuse block I installed, the lid keeps falling off and I think something inside the cabinet is shorting it out.

When the fuse blows, nothing 12 volt will work, but my tongue jack will still work because it's wired to the battery independantly from everything else.

I wasn't aware some were wired differently for the disconnect switch nor there were rotary switches with a large red key. Only familiary with the silver colored push/pull switch.

Purchased my XT 276 brand new via special order from the factory.

In the packet with all the paperwork, there was no wiring diagram of the camper...nor have I ever seen one for any model.

Yes, I have one of those, too! It looks "moused," but I guess they're common.

On mine if the switch is pushed in the power is turned off you need to pull the switch out to get power to the trailer. And what I think they were talking about about brakes? Possibly is that while the trailer brakes are directly connected to the truck the emergency pull out that little pin was the cable that you attached between the trailer and the truck that will not work unless you have activated the power into your trailer the emergency pool cable that turns the brakes on is what I'm talking about
