First trip of the "summer"

Trip one of the summer done. Went from Irvine (Southern California) to Sacramento and back. Added the MaxxFan over the bed during the trip, as well as some carpeted step covers for the entry, and a Fastway Flip tongue jack foot.


I need to figure out a good interior clock, and a way to protect the dinette carpet. I'm covering motocross races, and the environment isn't exactly spotless.

Regarding the mods, I'd added a day at the front end the of the trip, where I had a place to work on the trailer at a friend's business. We also got in a good mountain bike ride.

That was the last of the "soft launch" portion of the summer (anything near home). I'm now in St. George, Utah, on the way to Lakewood, CO.

Curiosity question - what is the benefit of the Fastway Jack foot over just using orange blocks? I love the thought of using the electric tongue jack less, for the sake of power conservation, but I always add as many orange blocks as I can.

I 'spose it's six of one, half-dozen of the other. I still do add some, but it does seem to speed up the whole process, and leave more available for leveling, etc. (I do carry two bags of them already.)

I do like that it tucks up out of the way a little better while traveling, too.
