fixing radio anntena

Was wondering if anyone knows how to replace the radio anntena
on the funfinder, or know of a site with instructions? I have a 189 fbr
my anntena got broken on a trip and the manuels are useless, I see a wire on the replacement so do I need to take out the radio? any help
would be great thanks.
