FREE 3 Stabilizers

Arrived at the RV park last month where it had been raining all day. The space was grass. While trying to level the trailer, the front stabilizer which had a wooden block under it twisted as the block started to sink into the ground, 1 ruined stabilizer. I remembered that someone in the forum said that the stabilizers were a POS, and that he had replaced them with scissor type jacks. That is what I did and they are 100% better at helping to level the trailer. When I removed the stabilizers on the underside was a label that stated " for tent trailers only". Way to go you cheap skates at Cruiserv. With that said, if anyone wants the remaining 3 stabilizers they are yours, you pay the postage, or if you are traveling the 99 in Ca. between Bakersfield and Fresno, you can pick them up, we are only a couple of miles off the 99.

I also hav e a bent front stabilizer.
Were the jack type ones a direct bolt on or did u have to modify it.

i should have known the stock ones werent heavy enough,they are the same type I had on my old chalet(aliner) pop up that only wieghed 1250 lbs,

The scissor jacks have a much larger mounting surface. I was able to use 1 existing hole on each jack and had to drill 2 more for each one. Had to also use a metal shim, about the thickness of a couple of washers, on all 4 as there is a slight difference in the frame across the front, back and the sides. After doing the first one, with a trip back to the house, it only took me about an hour to do the other 3. The new ones are the BAL scissor jacks that I got from Camping World. $69.99 for 2

I think I will replace them by pairs
The front pair first
The rear set is still in good shape.
also plan on installing fan for refridge
as I have also had a propane smell I couldnt find
Although IT only happened once
