My fridge door keeps falling off. Amazingly, the door seems to just hang on 2 little metal posts. The bottom post has a little nut attached on the bottom outside of the door. I can only tighten that nut so much by hand (it's not big enough for a wrench), then it keeps coming loose. Any suggestions? Also, the latch to keep the door shut during transport seems to be useless now. Any suggestions or gadgets out there to prevent the door from opening?

What brand and model do you have? Mine is a Dometic and it has a bracket that supports the door. There is a pin that sits in the bracket that the door pivots on, but the bracket itself supports the weight of the door. Not sure if they are all like that though.

If the door isn't staying fixed on the lower pivot that could also be the cause of your latch problem.

Once you find the brand and model check the mfg website. I know you can get parts lists from the Dometic website, not sure about other manufacturers.
