Hello, my connection keeps leaking is there a part I can purchase to replace this? I’m an apprentice plumber and most of my water lines are vegia it seems, i taped the adapter and replaced the filter in the coupling the garden hose goes into…I think I need to find a new part where do I go?

Camping World has a pretty wide selection of parts and depending on where you live there may be an actual store nearby where you can actually go and look at the part. Otherwise a google search for RV parts will turn up a ton of online stores.

Ok thank you ill look for a nearby rv parts store. if nothing ill have a look at camping world thank you .

Just where is the leak occurring? Is that the way you found things when you pulled the City Water connector away from the outer wall? Looks a bit like a “bubba fix” to me 🤔. Also, what does “most of my water lines are vegia it seems” mean? If the brass fitting/part is the source of the leak, I’d suspect freeze damage 🤔. A quick search on Amazon for “City water connection for a RV” yielded numerous options!

I did that, I cut the calking out and pulled it out, put the connector back inside the RV and found out it was leaking from the plastic insert that goes into the clear pipe, and on the very outside were my hose goes into the outside. I believe i do need a new brass fitting. it temporarily fixed. its spelled Viega sorry.

The image on the right is what you want. You'll need to able to turn that outside collar to attach it to you drinking water hose male end. Plus it has the cover to cap it when not in use. The one on the left would require turning the whole hose to screw the end in.

I’m sorry, I didn’t know that Viega was a brand name for plumbing parts 🤔. LJAZ is correct RE: the proper City Water connection. BUT you will still need fitting to connect your Viega water line to the threaded brass end of the City Water connection. If the existing brass City Water component is not the source of the leak, perhaps all that is needed is a new “black” connector for the end of the Viega water line.
Also, I’m sorry about the “bubba” comment 🙄. I’ve done plenty of bubba fixes 😉. I just thought that an apprentice plumber would want it to look “nicer” 🤔.

so i got this rigged up and ready to go for tomorrow installation.

Might I suggest that you get a 90 degree hose elbow. Camco product is around $5. Reduces tendency for the hose to kink, relieves some of the strain on the City Water connector and looks nicer!

ok after weeks i finally fixed it with the right parts, does not look pretty

Looks pretty good to me. My standards changed when things leaked. Now if it is not leaking, I consider it “good”. I have had to replace this connection twice on my 2011. Even with using a 90 degree connector. Good luck!
