Fort Saskatchewan Alberta
Introducing myself as I have just joined the forum. We bought our FF 210uds in April 2016 it was a brand new 2015 model. We are located in Alberta Canada. Unit modifications to date are full LED lights in the interior, rock guards for the front cap. Fold out table (Rear Bumper location) rear LED lights, converted the pedestal dinette table to a free standing table, 2 mounted storage boxes on the back, campfire tripod cooker storage and out side shelf where exterior TV mount is located. I pull it with a 2014 Silverado regular cab, short box with 5.3 liter,6 speed.3:42 ratio,355 hp and 383 ft/lbs torque. Pulls really nice. No major issues as we have hauled it to Saskatchewan, Montana, Idaho, Washington and Southern BC. One question I have is, has anyone removed the large Funfinder decals on the front and rear. Just wondering if there has been any fading encountered. This unit has been waxed regular and stored indoors.

Welcome, and congratulations! Is this your first trailer?

I sure envy your location -- you are within easy driving distance of Jasper, and it takes us a week of hard driving to get there.

Thanks pro, No when the kids were around I had a 25' 5th Wheel and pulled a boat or the quads behind it. Was a lot of fun. Pulled it with a 2003 Silverado 1500HD with the 6.0 l and 4:10 ratio. Was a nice combo. And yes we are lucky Jasper is 3.5 hrs. from home, we just pack up and go whenever we want. Late September we camped outside of Jasper and it was -5C. The trailer handled it well, we were comfy. My criteria this time around was under 25 feet, slide, under 4500 lbs, fiberglass exterior and a well balanced trailer. So far it has treated us well, just the usual minor improvements here and there. We have found it to rides smooth as we place our ice maker and coffee machine on the floor and nothing moves in transit.

Welcome! Post lots of pictures. We live about as far away as one can be without getting salt water in your shoes.:D

Thanks, I will post pics. I used to say when we had our acreage that we lived so far in the bush we had to drive 1/2 hour towards town to go hunting, I know how you feel.:p

What did you install for rock guards?

I used 1" ID and1"OD tubing and attached HDPE for the rock guard. Hopefully the pictures help, I designed them to be removable or turned upside down when parked. The are also installed at an angle to cut the wind. They turned out nice I think. 6000 km and not one rock chip on the front cap.

I love that floorplan! Where did you get your LED replacement lights? Are they brighter than the original lights?

Yes it is great for our purposes, the lights are a different light than the originals but bright enough for us. The heat and power consumption is way less. I replaced all interior lights except the one above the dinette as we only use it when it's cool outside and the heat doesn't matter. I bought them on Amazon. I think it was $40 for 20 lights and that leaves me few spares that I haven't needed yet. I replaced the storage compartment light and the vent above the stove aswell incase I ever forget them on.
