I have a 2005 189FBS and the gelcoat is discoloring. It looks dirt but doesn't come off. I tried using different cleaners and even rubbing compound with no luck. :(

Well-could be the dreaded black mildewy stuff that plagues almost all campers. That's easily removed with the camper/RV mildew remover wash. Comes in a spray bottle and is effective.
Or-the gelcoat was improperly applied and is discoloring due to UV exposure, moisture, something trapped underneath. This would require more serious intervention.

I have a 2008 230DS and there is discoloring on the edges of the slideouts. I looked for several units of the same model and they all show the same with time. At first I thought it was a leak of some kind but I caulked all the trim and edges of each slide. I hasn't progressed before or after.

is it a brownish color? Do you have a pic to post? I will try to do the same in the next few days.
