Hello, I just joined the club and picked up an '06 189. I'll need to repair a small tear in the fiberglass at some point (currently covered with duct tape during the rainy season)... and was also wondering if I should or should have gotten an "extended warranty" as was offered by the used RV dealer? They had them for sale for $820ish for 1 year, 1300ish for two years, and 1600ish for three years.. they said it had a $100 deductible and was transferable... Semper Fi...

Welcome

I am a former Marine myself,so Semper Fi and thank you for your service to our country.

I am getting ready for a trip to the anza borrego area.
Dont waste your money on extended warrenties, chances are if it hasnt broken by now it will be ok.
If it is the fabric on top that is ripped contact the factory as it is supposed to be warrentied for 5 years.
Good luck and Semper Fi

Re: Greetings from socal

Thanks! I appreciate the info. Took the two boys and Mrs in there today for the first time... should be fun. I was referring to the rear fiberglass outer wall area. There is a 6" or so dent and slice going through the skin... If that is covered by warranty then lucky me. I think you're referring to the awning as far as rips go right? I should check it out and make sure its in good shape!
