Are the AC & DC both grounded to the chassis? Looking for a clean hook up for a small inverter just for TV. NOT hooking up to the camper AC system. I have an empty DC+ on my fuse panel. Thinking the ground could come from the ground bar on the AC side. (The one w/ bare copper wires). I know is sounds odd, but it would be a clean install.

They make a lot of televisions today that literally are 12 volt. You will find them all over the place. If the TV uses a thing that looks like a brick that needs plugged into the wall and then plugged into your TV set check it it may be 12 volt in that case just run a direct 12 volt line. You may have one. If you need power 110 volts ac to run just a TV set you can often get one that plugs in to a socket like a cigarette lighter which is big enough to run just a TV set.

I sure the DC is grounded to the frame. I pretty sure the AC is grounded through the shore power and not to the frame. If it were, than a short would fry all of your DC circuits as well as your Tow Vehicle's electronics if it were connected.

Found the DC ground bus when I slid the distribution box out. I hooked my ground there but did see both ac & dc grounds do go to frame. The small inverter was perfect to run the small tv & dvd player. (On a direct ext cord from the 500w inverter.)
