Ok all ye dedicated Funfinders. I have a question and need for you to make an observation regarding your Black Water Holding Tank.

Would you please lay down and peek under the back of your trailer and take note of how your holding tank is mounted. If you put your hand on it, can your wiggle it around a little? Or is it held in there tightly with straps or braces or screws?

MINE just sits there on steel railings, one on each side. Gravity and other laws of physics hold it in and keep it from moving around a lot. If I put my hand on it near the passenger side end and press up, I can actually raise it up about 3/8". The whole thing can be shifted around a little. The only thing really keeping it from moving left or right is the toilet and vent pipe connections. It cannot fall out because of the clever design of the railings...but there are no straps or fasteners anywhere. It just sits there. It seems to me that when your are travelling down the road, it would wiggle and jiggle with every bump and curve. It just doesn't seem like a good idea to me.

I would sure like to know if they are all held in like that, or am I the only one. My grey water tank is the same way. Anybody? :?::?:

My fresh water tank sits on the steel railings.

Can't say for sure about the black water/grey water holding tanks as it's raining outside now so ain't gonna look ~ however I don't believe they are secured solidly in place and just sit there like the fresh water tank as I recall.

Yup, mine is the same. The 'lips' at the top ends of the tank rest on angle iron supports.
